Project Aims:
- Determine the prevalence of Technical Vocabulary in each discipline
- Determine the extent to which vocabulary is shared between subjects
- Determine whether there is a relationship between the amount of shared vocabulary and that subject’s impact in the published world of Academia
Objectives:
- Determine the most frequently occurring words in the articles selected for investigation
- Compile a ‘Technicality Score‘ for each discipline investigated
- Determine which words are shared and how often they are shared between the disciplines chosen for investigation
- Assess which disciplines have the highest impact in the world of academic publications
